报告摘要:This talk introduces several new tools for stability analysis of switched systems. We start from the review of detectability in linear time-invariant systems with the aim toward explaining the strong relationship between stability and detectability. Then, a general framework is proposed to show that the following concepts are equivalent:

-          Persistency of excitation.

-          Weak detectability.

-          Uniform global attractivity.

under uniform global stability and an almost bounded output energy condition. Based on this framework, six new tools are introduced for switched nonlinear time-invariant systems. These tools are generalizations of classical Matrosov theorem as well as Krasovskii-LaSalle theorem.

报告题目:Applications of New Stability Tools in Switched Systems

报告摘要:In the second talk, the newly developed stability tools are applied to some interesting switched systems. These examples are used to demonstrate the practical values of the proposed new stability tools. More precisely, the following applications are discussed:

-        Applied to two consensus problems to guarantee exponential convergence under some weaker assumptions

-        Applied to a robust regulation problem of mobile robots

-        Applied to an ideal model of semi-quasi-Z-source inverter to guarantee internal stability under a maximum staying time

Based on these applications, we show how the proposed new results can be served as powerful tools to analyze the stability of switched systems.

报告人简介:Dr. T. C. Lee received the M.S. degree in mathematics and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1990 and 1995, respectively. In August 1997, he joined the Minghsin University of Science and Technology at Hsinchu as an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering, and since 2005 he has been a Professor. Now he is the dean of engineering school. He is a senior member of IEEE. He has published 5 regular papers on IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control and 2 regular papers on IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology. One of them has been cited over 300 times (according to the record of Google). His main research interests are stability theory, tracking control of nonholonomic systems, and robot control.
